Ford Everest 10 Speed Transmission Tune
Ford Everest 10 Speed Transmission Tune
Are you disgusted by the lag and excessive slip from your transmission?
Thinking of getting rid of your Everest because of this?
With CCC’s transmission tune, we fix these issues and take away your frustration!
- Vehicle Compatibility: 2018-2022 Ford Everest 2.0L BiTurbo 10 Speed
- Make your automatic transmission more predictable and relaxed to drive.
- Power delivery feels more natural with new shift points better matched to the diesel torque curve.
- Fuel economy improves and the engine feels more responsive as the torque converter is locked in each gear.
We’ve carefully designed our 10 speed remap to be the most comprehensive on the market by far, aiming to eliminate as many annoying behaviours as possible and unlock hidden performance, providing a much calmer, quieter driving experience that has a more tactile and natural feel.
Our 10 speed transmission tune for the BiTurbo Everest focuses on improved driveability through logical gear selection, torque converter lockup in each gear, and much more consistent behaviour day to day by disabling some of the adaptive properties in the TCM. The “slip state” of the converter is tightened up for a more positive engagement during initial take-off, with torque converter lockup automatically applying from as early as 10km/h under the right conditions.
Thousands of hours of testing and adjusting has been spent to bring you three distinct new shift profiles in Drive, Sport Auto and Sport Manual modes. All of which benefit greatly from our torque converter lockup mapping, as well as all factory off-road drive modes.
Drive is suited for everyday driving, and some light towing. The shift points are calibrated for a relaxed feel, making great use of the abundant torque at low RPM the BiTurbo diesel produces. Downshifts whilst braking occur around 1200rpm, meaning you’re already in a lower gear when re-applying the accelerator, meaning we avoid some ‘on-power’ downshifts by having the transmission already in the right gear for regular acceleration (ie coming out of a roundabout). This also provides a subtle engine braking effect - no more coasting in neutral! More accelerator pedal is allowed before triggering a downshift, and the upshift points at moderate acceleration occur around 2500-3000rpm. Full throttle upshifts occur at 3600rpm.
Sports Auto aims to keep engine RPM around 2000-2500rpm at light load, resulting in a transmission that’s ready for most scenarios whilst towing, in hilly terrain, or when extra performance is wanted. An intuitive downshift map has the transmission downshift like a mind reader, selecting a lower ratio earlier and earlier whilst rev matching as more brake pressure is applied. We’ve also enabled the live gear indicator in the instrument cluster so you can keep an eye on what gear you’re in.
Sports Manual benefits from much faster response times when commanding an up or down shift, as well as lightning fast shifts brought directly across from the OEM Ranger Raptor calibration.
Low Range auto now has seamless shifting instead of the clunky factory configuration, and is enhanced by automatic torque converter lockup for greater control and increased engine braking.
